What is ASD?

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is very common. The 2018 National Autism Spectrum Disorder Surveillance System (NASS) Report estimates autism’s prevalence as 1 in 66 children in Canada.

Autism Speaks Canada is dedicated to promoting solutions across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan. They have information and resources on their website, as well as the My Autism Guide which provides free access to customized autism content specific to age, location and interests.

I’ve heard that autism and ADHD are related. Is that true?

Understood.org has a quick read about how Autism spectrum disorder and ADHD are related in several ways. ADHD is not on the autism spectrum, but they do have some of the same symptoms.
