Friends and Teen Talk
A fun and engaging social-emotional skills learning program for children and teens.
Some children and teens have trouble making friends and handling their emotions. We can help!
Who is it for?
- Children and teens in Grades 4 – 9 who need extra support with social and emotional skills.
What to expect?
- Individualized or group sessions for children and teens to learn and practice skills for making friends and handling emotions.
- Sessions are offered with a skilled program facilitator.
- Instruction in the program involves explicit teaching of skills through discussions, practice, problem-solving and interactive activities.
- Children are encouraged to try skills outside of the sessions.

Why?

The program is offered FREE of charge to residents of the City of Calgary.

Friends Group (Grades 4-6)
Tuesdays: 5:30 – 7:00 pm
September 24 – November 26, 2024
Takes place at the CanLearn Society.
Teen Talk Group (Grades 7-9)
Thursdays: 5:30 – 7:00 pm
September 26 – December 5, 2024 (No session October 31)
Takes place at the CanLearn Society.
1-on-1 Sessions
10 one-hour weekly sessions.
Flexible scheduling.
In-person and virtual sessions are available.
