Reading is the foundation for success throughout your child’s school years. Success in reading is critical for children.
Grades 1 and 2 are an important window of opportunity for learning to read. Children who successfully learn to read in the early primary years of school are well prepared to read in the years to come. Children who continue to struggle past Grade 3 are at a serious disadvantage. Sometimes learning to read can be hard work for kids.
We can help!
This free program will be offered online once a week over a period of six weeks and will be offered in a small group format. This allows the program facilitator to consider the different needs and interests of the children involved. WordPlay is a fun and engaging program that starts with building a positive attitude towards reading and continues on to teach key reading skills.
What is the impact of WordPlay? Children will use and practice early reading skills through fun activities and games and develop a positive learner identity!
